Winter finch irruption
The irruption is on. Evening Grosbeaks at three separate feeders within 15 miles of home, the first I’ve heard of in this area since I moved here. I’ve been out at first light four mornings in a row and had them call in twice and drop in once. A single frame at f/4 and ISO 3200 isn’t going to win any prizes, but it’s my first documented record of the species from this patch.
