Why I still use a monopod

I stopped using a monopod two years ago and started again this winter. The reason is simple: a long lens in cold weather with gloves on is a different rig than a bare-handed summer setup. The monopod saves my lower back and produces more keepers per minute. I don’t know why I gave it up in the first place.
