Pelagic day, heavy seas

A pelagic trip out of Bodega in October: thirty-foot swells on the way out, then a lumpy drift for six hours, then thirty-foot swells on the way back. I saw several albatrosses, two jaeger species, and a small whale I couldn’t put a name to. I made about a dozen frames, none of them sharp. Everything in the cooler tipped. I threw up over the side once, which puts me about average for my pelagic history.
