Low tide at Padre Island

At Padre Island the flats on the bay side are where the work is, and the tide window is smaller than I like. I drive the service road on low minus-tides in January mornings, expect a 45-minute walk out, budget 90 minutes on the flats, and commit to walking back well before the push comes in. Getting stranded mid-flat is not a funny mistake.
