Drove up from San Francisco. The coast at Point Reyes in August is usually fogged in until mid-morning and then burns off to a crystalline blue. I walked the Chimney Rock trail for elephant seals and the north beach area for shorebirds pushing through. Wandering Tattler on a rock at the base of the lighthouse was a small thrill.
Got sprayed by surf on a cliff shot and spent twenty minutes drying the front element. The lens survived.
